Digwa lied to police at the scene and falsely claimed he had been the victim of a racist attack - leading officers to arrest Henry rather than his killer. The Independent Office for Police Conduct has launched an investigation into the force's response and Prime Minister Keir Starmer said there are "serious questions for the police." Responding to the clashes with police, the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood described the scenes as "completely unacceptable".
